Appearing in the immense rice fields of the An Phu commune, outside the Pleiku city, Gia Lai province, Dong Xanh park is considered as the miniature picture of the mountain and forests Central Highlands, preserving full of traditional features in the daily life of the people here. With an area of 8 hectares, Dong Xanh park is covered by a green of grass fields with cultural and historical materials not only of Gia Lai but also Central Highlands.

Dong Xanh park brings traditional features in daily life of the people through architectural performances of tomb house, communal house, and long house. Especially, these works also combine with the synthesized and stylized pattern, and motifs on the Central Highlands. On the occasion of the festival, tourists also have opportunities to immerse in the air of the activities of community festivals of ethnic minority villages.

Dong-Xanh-Park

At the main gate of the park, tourists are greeted by two elephants made of stone, presenting as the symbol of the Central Highlands. Particularly, Dong Xanh park is home to many large-scale fossils. Tourists can come here and admire the oldest fossil trees over one million years old in Vietnam. Continuing to discover Dong Xanh park, tourists also catch the King of Water and Fire King, two sacred kings of the Central Highlands, creating the unique beauty of this place.
