Kon Klor village is not only known as the ideal destniation for relaxation thanks to its peaceful scene, but also being reputable for its rich brocade weaving and jumbo flavors.
The first impression about the Kon Klor Village is that the village is covered with a blue, and green color starting from the tamarind trees, sugarcane, and vegetable garden. Coming inside the village of Ba Na, the unique architecture and traditional crafts of the village will surprise tourists for its cultural value. The communal house is designed in the traditional style with all materials of wood, bamboo, and leaves with elaborate motifs.
According to Ba Na people, Kon Klor village means forest village because there were many wild mangrove trees around the village, only few trees scattered around the houses. The artisans of the Kon Klor village maintain the closeliness with others in the communal house everyday, especially, performing their sturdiness through the fulcrum for the village spirit as the pride of the Ba Na artists. Next to the Kon Klor Bridge is the legendary bridge of the Dak Bak River, which is charming spot for sightseeing. The most beautiful moment of this bridge is the afternoon, when the sunset falls like a fireball shining the light splashing on the vast river.
Near the center of the village, Kon Klor people retains the traditional beauty of the Ba Na ethnical group like the Ba Na gong instruments in some festival occasions. Especially, they are always ready to be used in the Ba Na festivals in the village during four seasons. Coming to Kon Klor Village, tourists also have opportunities to enjoy Kon Klor jams processed basing on the traditional method of making traditional wines, so the jams is impressive tourists visiting here with the really strong flavor. In addition to the usual ingredients to make wine such as corn, cassava, rice, there is wine made from the tree creating the most elaborate and delicious wine. The artisans said that the secret to have a special taste of wine, with a sweet aftertaste requires to have a half of the bowl of red or white sticky rices mixed in the sun, dried for about 3 days, then poured into the gauze, waiting for about 1 month later to drink. Kon Klor is also reputable for the handicraft like brocade, dresses, bags, embroidery, and sheets.
