Phung Hung has a combination of three architectural styles including Vietnam, Japan and China. In particular, the balcony and door systems of Phung Hung follow Chinese architectural styles while the roof in the middle of the house’ directions is the Japanese architecture. Also, the rest is the system of wooden ribs, beams, spars, traditional roof in the front and back space under Vietnamese architecture style.
For 100 years, Phung Hung ancient house has also been popular with three main features, namely, tubular houses, large facades, and wood materials. In particular, the house support system up to 80 columns of precious limestone, all placed on the foot of the stone to avoid contact with the ground, helping to extend the life. The doors on the bottom of the house make cool in the summer and warm in winter. The architectural style of Tan Ky is typical of Hoi An ancient town, with many rooms being separated into many functions and no windows on either side, but there is no sense of suffocation due to the ventilation of the front and back. The interior decoration materials in Tan Ky ancient house are mainly made of precious wood, carved with exquisite carvings. Quan Thang ancient house is also a typical model of the two-sided brick houses, containing many features of Hoi An architecture. Cam Pho Temple, the oldest surviving antiques in Hoi An
Cam Pho Temple, the oldest surviving antiques in Hoi An, located on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai is one of the most ideal destinations in Hoi An which attracts a lot of tourists to discover for its ancient value.
The architecture of the Cam Pho temple is made up of the word “Quoc” in Vietnamese, meaning country, with grave gate carved two impressive red distiches on the two sides, in front of the main hall has four roofs, each of which is carved lantern, and the main hall has five departments. The main decorative art of the temple is also considered as the model of Hoi An architecture because of its sophistication, and carefulness in details.
